Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026
This policy explains how Oclada handles information in its websites, applications and related services. Product-specific practices are described below where they differ from the general policy.
1. Our privacy approach
Oclada aims to eliminate unnecessary collection of personal information. Wherever practical, functions are performed locally on your device, without uploading personal data to external services. Where external processing is necessary, we aim to limit the information shared to what is required for the authorised function. We only intend to collect or use information that is reasonably required to provide, secure, improve, support or lawfully operate the relevant service.
2. Information you provide
You may provide information when you contact support, participate in beta testing, make a purchase through an app store, or use features that explicitly ask for information. We use that information for the purpose for which it was provided and related support, security and service administration.
3. Service providers
Oclada may use third-party service providers for functions such as app distribution, purchases, entitlement management, hosting, diagnostics and advertising. Those providers may process information under their own privacy terms and applicable platform rules.
4. FIFO Alarm
Roster and alarm information
Your FIFO Alarm roster configuration, alarm preferences and related scheduling information are stored locally on your device for normal app operation and are not shared with Oclada. Alarm scheduling is handled by your device's operating system.
Imported alarm sounds
If you import a custom alarm sound, FIFO Alarm stores a local app-owned copy so it can be used reliably by the alarm system. The sound is not intended to be uploaded to Oclada merely because you import it into the app.
Purchases and ad-free access
Paid ad-free access is processed by the relevant app store. FIFO Alarm uses RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements. Oclada does not receive your full payment-card details from the app store. RevenueCat may process transaction and entitlement information required to determine whether ad-free access is active.
Advertising
The free version of FIFO Alarm may display advertising. Google Mobile Ads is used as a general advertising fallback and Google's User Messaging Platform is used where consent choices are required. Google and its advertising partners may process technical, device, network, consent and advertising-performance information in accordance with their own privacy terms and applicable platform rules.
FIFO Alarm is also designed to support Oclada-managed direct advertising that can be relevant to a broad stage of a FIFO roster, such as start of swing, end of swing, R&R or returning to work. A generic pool of eligible campaign information and creative assets may be downloaded to the device. FIFO Alarm determines the applicable roster stage locally on the device and selects matching direct advertising locally. The roster, cycle day, work dates, R&R dates, employer, site, wake times and locally determined roster stage are not included in the direct-ad campaign request.
Direct-ad impression and click counters are currently kept locally on the device and are not sent to Oclada as roster-linked events. If you choose to open an advertisement, the advertiser's website or service may receive the normal technical information associated with that visit. Alarm operation remains separate from advertising availability, and an active ad-free entitlement suppresses advertising.
No ordinary FIFO Alarm account required
FIFO Alarm is not currently designed to require a conventional Oclada user account for its core roster and alarm functions.
5. Website information
When you visit an Oclada website, hosting and security providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, request metadata, browser information and security signals to deliver and protect the site.
6. Retention
Local app information remains on your device until you change it, delete it, remove the app, or the operating system clears it. Information handled by external providers is retained according to their service requirements, legal obligations and applicable settings. Support correspondence may be retained where reasonably necessary to resolve issues and maintain business records.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information and service involved. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have legal rights relating to personal information, including rights to access, correct or request deletion of certain information. You may contact Oclada to make a privacy request.
9. Children
Oclada products are not directed to children unless a product expressly says otherwise.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when products, service providers, laws or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
